Somehow, we’ve reached 200 podcast episodes. Honestly, I’m not sure how that happened. It feels like just yesterday I was nervously recording the very first one. But here we are, and I couldn’t have done it without you listening, sharing, and encouraging me along the way.

This podcast has become part of my creative process. I see, hear, or read something and instantly think, “That’s an episode idea.” It’s made me realise that creativity isn’t something we switch on when we’re in the studio. It’s everywhere, shaping how we live.

Everyone is Creative (Yes, Even You)

I often meet people who say, “I’m not creative.” And yet when they describe how they’ve built something, solved a problem, or honoured a memory through design, it’s all creativity in action. Creativity doesn’t always look like a canvas or a sculpture. Sometimes it looks like everyday choices.

My Winding Path Back to Art

For years, I carried the belief that I wasn’t “good enough” because I failed my art GCSE. I gave up creating for a decade, feeling jealous of anyone who made art. When I finally returned, it wasn’t easy. I was full of fear. But slowly, through classes and courses, I immersed myself again – and I found myself.

That’s when I truly understood: art isn’t about grades or comparisons. It’s about expression, connection, and noticing the world differently.

Your Art, Your Way

You don’t need to fit into a single definition of what an artist should be. You don’t need to sell your work or stick to one style. You just need to keep exploring, noticing, and creating in ways that feel right for you.

Your art matters. Because it tells your story, connects you to others, and builds your confidence.

What’s Next for United ArtSpace

As we approach our 10th anniversary, I feel more excited than ever. The next chapter will focus on helping people not only create and share art, but also live more creatively every day.

So here’s a little prompt for you: take a moment this week to notice where creativity shows up in your life. Maybe in a doodle, a photograph, or even just in how you solve a problem. It all counts and it all matters.
