Everything you create, from your teaching videos to PDF handouts, is intellectual property. That means it’s yours. But unless you’ve put the right agreements in place, it can be hard to stop someone else using it without permission.

Knowing what belongs to you (and how to prove it) is the first step to keeping your creative content safe.

Set the Terms

Contracts sound formal, but they’re really just about setting boundaries. When someone signs up to your course or hires you to teach, having a clear agreement avoids confusion down the line.

It’s not about being defensive. It’s about clarity. And when you’re clear from the start, everyone knows where they stand.

Create With Confidence

When your rights are protected, it’s easier to show up boldly and share your work. You’re not second-guessing what people might do with your content. You’ve already set the terms, and that lets you focus on what you do best: creating and teaching.

Don’t Wait for Things to Go Wrong

We often think about legal stuff after something bad happens. But putting a few things in place early, like contracts, clear terms, and usage rights, can save you stress and energy later.

It’s not about fear. It’s about freedom, and being able to teach from a place of strength and trust.
