Turning your passion into a profit can feel impossible.

Knowing how to follow passion and actually build something sustainable from it can feel overwhelming, especially in a world that tells us to be everything, everywhere, all at once.

In this conversation with creative educator and Made Remarkable host Kellee Wynne, we explore what it really takes to turn passion into profit without burning out, splitting yourself in ten directions or losing the joy that brought you to art in the first place.

STEP 1: Reconnect With Your Passion – The Starting Point for Everything

If you’ve ever found yourself drifting, scattering your ideas, or chasing trends in the hope they’ll bring in money… you’re not alone.
Most artists do this when they’ve lost their inner compass.

Kellee shared how she spent years jumping between paths – licensing, galleries, interior design work, memberships – before realising she wasn’t following what truly lit her up. And the same happened for me. When we lose ourselves, we scatter.

But your passion is not frivolous.
It’s the signal that tells you where you do your best work.

When you follow it, everything becomes lighter:
Your ideas flow.
Your message becomes clearer.
And, importantly, the right people start to recognise themselves in your work.

Passion isn’t the fluffy part. It’s the engine.

STEP 2: Build From Service – Profit Comes From Meaning

Let’s talk about money.

A lot of creatives fear they’re “too late”, that the market is saturated, or that sharing their gifts is somehow selfish.

But profitability, in Kellee’s world and mine, is about service.

Money is an exchange of energy.
You give something meaningful: guidance, community, expression, beauty, and you receive support in return.

When your work genuinely helps people:
They feel it.
They trust it.
They want to pay for it.

And here’s the truth:
It’s not too late.
We are in one of the biggest growth periods for online education in history.
And people aren’t buying courses. They’re buying connection, clarity and transformation.

Tiny things make a difference.
A safe space.
A process.
A perspective.
A community.

If it’s meaningful to you, it will be meaningful to someone else.

Turning passion into profit isn’t about hacking the algorithm or spinning a million plates.

It’s about:
• Feeling the spark again
• Choosing the one path that lights you up
