Unlock Your Potential
Have you ever felt the world is against you? You have a plan and then something happens that turns your dream upside down, or worse still destroys your plans?
I had a chat with Ricky Locke. A professional speaker, magician and hypnotist. We talked about how during the pandemic, Ricky’s dream of becoming fully self-employed was destroyed. Ricky shares how all these events and obstacles that lay in his way opened up doors for him. Ones he never knew existed.
So join us in this chat as we help you to unlock your potential.
Finding your potential
After my chat with Ricky, it really got me thinking about how we find our passions and our potential in life. Sometimes they may be hidden for years and all of a sudden, we find this passion for something – related to art or not.
I remember for years I didn’t know what potential I had. I didn’t believe I was good enough to achieve and never allowed myself the opportunity to look forwards. Then, when I got back into art, I found the inner desire to bring artists from all over the world together and create an art community. Once I began to believe in my potential, wonderful things began to happen. Albeit after lots of hard work, hours of dedication and desire!
Unlocking it all
Once you unlock a desire, a passion, a need and your potential, you achieve anything you put your mind to. The road won’t always be easy. Fear will creep in but keep reminding yourself of the potential that sits within.
During my chat with Ricky, he shared a quote from Jack Canfield which I thought was great – “Fear stands for: Fantasized Experiences Appearing Real”.
You are only born with two fears. The fear of loud noises and the fear of falling, so every other fear in your life is learned. If you have a fear of anything around your art or your passion, it’s all learned, so you can unlearn it as well.
I guess what we are trying to say is, your potential is within and it is so important to remind ourselves that we can do it and will do it. Once you unlock your potential and put the fears aside you can grow with your art.
The world is your oyster.
