This week I talked about how we can get derailed by other people’s opinions, especially when it comes to what is acceptable in the arts.

In this episode I share my lack of skill in hanging work and how our lack of ability can sometimes make us question whether we are ‘qualified’ to be doing this. But, what I have learnt is you don’t need to be good at everything. it’s OK to suck at parts of being an artist.

Being an artist doesn’t mean you should know how to hang work, or paint like Michelangelo (as some believe). It’s about finding your grain and working in the direction that feels right to you. Accepting that you won’t be good at everything and that’s OK, you don’t need to be.

Don’t compare, just enjoy the journey you are on!

Much love,
